Introduction to the Biggest ever raid on Member of Parliament

The biggest ever raid on Member of Parliament | RAMESHWAR SINGH | SARDAR INDER SINGH RAID

About 40 years or 4 Decades back when India was struggling to stand on its economic that era many Tycoons and politicians were taking the front. Sardar Inder Singh was also one of them, He had a well-established name at that age and was one of the influential politicians in Undivided India. Sardar Inder Singh served as a Member of the Legislative assembly from Punjab during the pre-partitioned era of  (1946 to 1951) and later as an MP (Member of Parliament – Rajya Sabha). Inder Singh was the heading industrialist of India from 1950 to the grave. In 1928 Inder Singh set up India’s first steel re-rolling mill at Singh engineering works Kanpur.

The further truth narrative is going to be based on India’s most extensive and Longest Income tax raid on member of Parliament and industrialist, This raid is believed to be the most extended raid ever in the history of the golden country India.

Beginning of Biggest ever Income Tax Raid

It was the daylight of July 16, 1981, when Sardar Inder Singh was having the morning tea and he had no hint at that time that his house is going to be raided by the I.T officials in the city of Kanpur. The sunshine of 16th July began unobtrusively enough. When Deputy Director (Intelligence) Mr. Alak Kumar Batbyal who directed the raids on the first day, left his residence in Swaroop Nagar with a staff of other officers nobody gave the smallest attention. As per the recital of Ram Autar, 45years, a rickshaw driver in the territory: “I deemed the officers were leaving for a morning walk.”

The arrival of Alak Kumar Batbyal and the Income Tax Team at the residence of Sardar Inder Singh

The biggest ever raid on Member of Parliament | SARDAR INDER SINGH | RAMESHWAR SINGH | #ThePVspecial | PV BLOGS | PATIALVI VLOGGER

When the clock reached 8 in the morning the raid had begun. Concurrently other groups were raiding houses relating to members of Inder Singh’s house in various communities like Tilak Nagar, Arya Nagar, and Lajpat Nagar, the most embellished colonies in Kanpur. Simultaneously all the factories of Singh Engineering Works Pvt Ltd located in the Fazal Ganj and Panki were sealed and 15 bank lockers in distinct names in Kanpur, Delhi, and Mussoorie were opened.

The department had choreographed the raids deliberately as More than 90 men officials had gathered for the raid. As there were not sufficient officers to manage the job some upper-division assistants were also enlisted to help out and 200 policemen had been summoned in to assist in case the income tax men met with any opposition, but they were not needed.

How much money was recovered in India’s Biggest ever Income Tax Raid?

In the lockers in Delhi, exploration parties detected Rs 72,000 in cash and fixed security deposit receipts meriting about Rs 1.10 lakh. In all a roundup of Rs 1.3 crore. As it swung out there was still more extra to come. In the subsequent two dayssix gold blocks of 250 tolas deserving Rs 30 lakh were seized from two lockers in Kanpur. And the game is not over yet more things were to be revealed.

Even counting the excursion has been a daunting job. The local section of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has had to jump in to help. Sayed Raza Zaidi 50, the chief manager of the RBI Speaks: “A distinctive room was set apart and 45 people including some deputies were deputed to calculate the cash and still then it took more than 18 hours.” The RBI had to entertain their cash vans accompanying with gunmen to transport the distance.”

Effect of India’s biggest ever raid on the family members of Sardar Inder Singh

He joins that notices have been worked on Inder Singh, his wife Mohinder Kaur, 45, his four boys and two sons-in-law, and a dozen additional members of the house. All the lockers at the Punjab National Bank branch in Swaroop Nagar, Allahabad Bank (Swaroop Nagar), and Hindustan Commercial Bank (Arya Nagar) has been sealed by the IT officials and the proprietors of the lockers were mostly members of the Inder Singh family, have been directed to go to the bank on various days for a search.

The thing that highlighted this income tax raid is the personality of Inder Singh, one of Kanpur’s leading industrialists who established the first steel re-rolling mill in Uttar Pradesh and who still retains the biggest re-rolling plant in the country. He is a prior member of the Rajya Sabha and is adjacent to the foremost lights of the ruling party. He had been mayor of Kanpur two times.

The reason or the mystery behind this raid was Inder Singh’s wife is the sister-in-law of Suresh Ram, son of the former Union minister Jagjivan Ram and it is implied that this relationship is the authentic reason for the problems of the Singh house. But income tax officers remain silent about such matters. But at the end of the day, we all know that This raid was the biggest ever raid in the History of India.

CHAIL – HISTORY OF CHAIL

In the following article penned by Devansh, we are going to read about the History of Chail, who owns Chail palace, and many more things about chail.Whenever we feel lonely or bored in our daily life we just pack our bags and make a random trip to the nearest hill stations. The following story composed by Devansh Kaushal is going to revolve around the birth of a Hill station named Chail near Shimla It owes its neighborhood on the political and tourist maps to an Indian prince who made it his summer city better known as the Summer capital of Bhupinder Singh. This is the story of Chail, a town barely 45 km from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.

CHAIL STORY | HILL STATION | CHAIL TO SHIMLA | PATIALVI VLOGGER | THE PV SPECIAL #ARTICLE-3 |

Chail is located at a greater altitude than Shimla. Chail was the summertime capital of the former princely state of Patiala. It came into being in the overdue nineteenth century when its elegant and dashing Maharaja Bhupinder Singh was banished from Shimla, the summer capital of British India for flirting with the British Commander-in-Chief’s daughter. Hurting at this insult, Bhupinder Singh began exploring the nearby hills with a private guiding force – to find a hill that was within the vision of Shimla but higher. The little village of Chail seemed perfect. Shimla lay within direct sight, and most important, Chail was higher than the British-dominated Shimla town. Large tracts of the land here already related to him. This had been given to his predecessors for services executed during the Gurkha wars which had come to an end in 1815-16.

HORROR STORY AND THE DREAM

A situation was picked and the Maharaja began building his summer castle. But an unfortunate omen seemed to hang over the construction area. Local story has it that the moment anything was built, it would deflate overnight. Dozens of snakes would appear from nowhere and attack the laborer.

THE DREAM: Then Bhupinder Singh had a dream. A sage looked before him and declared that the site the Maharaja had chosen was where he had dreamed till he was taken by the earth, d his peace should not be disturbed. The Maharaja had the sage’s grace or blessing to build on any other spot. Bhupinder Singh moved to another site and at the original point– which is about a kilometer from the Palace Hotel – he had a temple built to the sage. Here the stone manifestation of the sage may still be viewed along with the iron tongs and trident. The church is known as the Sidh Baba Ka Mandir and is revered by many who claim that the sage has the power to grant benefits. Meanwhile, Bhupinder Singh had another site surfaced out and a splendid palace was built and sumptuously furnished. And at 2226 m, a good a hundred meters above Shimla’s average height, Bhupinder Singh’s summer capital was prepared to take on the British one at equal terms

VB Punjab examines Punjabi University Daily Stories Edition – Section # 2

Vigilance Bureau looking in the books of Punjabi University Patiala – The Daily Stories #2 | PATIALVI VLOGGER | PV BLOGS

Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has launched an investigation into the appointment of 65 Assistant Professors at Punjabi University, Patiala from 2009 to 2016.

The complaint was lodged in 2017, alleging that the academic assistants were appointed in violation of University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations related to NET and Ph.D.

In September last year, a university organization, while holding a detailed discussion on the findings of 13 investigative reports on allegations of corruption, employment, and financial mismanagement in 2007-2017, decided to refer the investigation to VB.

In a complaint filed in 2017, it was alleged that these academic assistants were appointed in violation of University Grants Commission (UGC) policy related to NET and Ph.D. It was also alleged that wards and relatives of ruling leaders Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) were regularly employed, ignoring those who deserved it.

Assistant Inspector General (Monitor) Ashish Kapoor said they had collected university records and a thorough investigation had been launched. “We hope to complete the investigation soon and a full report will be sent to senior officials for action,” Kapoor said.

How varsity tweaked the rules

In June 2011, Punjabi University issued an advertisement for the appointment of auxiliary professors. However, prior to the appointment, the university formed a seven-member committee and allegedly photographed the UGC guidelines and deleted them on March 29, 2012.
The committee approved applications from the Ph.D. owners, who graduated before 2009. It also released a Ph.D. owners removing NET. In accordance with the UGC regulations promulgated on July 11, 2009, and September 18, 2010, NET / SLET / SET is a minimum eligibility for the appointment and appointment of a professor / assistant professor at universities / colleges / institutions. Only those Ph.D. owners are exempt from a minimum eligibility for appointment when their degree is awarded by the UGC (lower standards and Ph.D. degree issuance process) Regulations, 2009.
UVB is already investigating the firefighting case
VB is already investigating a case involving the purchase of ₹ 80 lakh firefighters at a university. In 2017, it became uncommon to buy fire extinguishers at ₹ 58.4 lakh and smoke detection programs at ₹ 21.4 lakh over three years. A 4kg fire extinguisher was sold for ₹ 8,229, although the standard Punjab price tag states that it is available at 4 2,415 per piece.
An internal investigation report for the period April 2014-October 2016 states that the purchase of fire extinguishers was done by a “ghost” company.
After the resignation of the former VC Dr. Jaspal Singh in March 2017, then-secretary of higher education, Anurag Verma, was appointed V-C manager. Verma received complaints about the university’s poor performance from 2007 to 2017. These include allegations of discrimination, corruption, and investment in the probationary branch, among other things.
In response to these complaints, Verma ordered 14 internal inquiries in April 2017.
